AJB Group is a service area business. There is no trade counter and no showroom to visit: the carpenters come to you, and the working radius is roughly 40 miles from Spalding.
Inside that radius the vans are out every day. Spalding, Bourne, Boston, Peterborough and King's Lynn are all inside an hour, and the team is usually running more than one of them at the same time. In a single week in October 2025 there were two roofs and plastics plus a posi joist set at Stilton near Peterborough, a hip roof extension at Bourne and a hand cut joist set in Spalding.
Every page below names actual work, with the specification and, where the client has already made it public, the main contractor. That is deliberate. A town page that says "we cover Grantham" and nothing else is worth nothing to you when you are deciding who to let on site.

Norfolk coast
Cladding along the A149.
Cladding is the one trade that takes AJB properly out of Lincolnshire. Over 350 square metres of Scottish larch at Cromer and the full exterior finish package at Wells-next-the-Sea put the team on the most exposed coastline in the east of England, so there is a separate set of pages for it.

How far will you travel for a job?
Day to day we work within about 40 miles of Spalding, covering South Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk. Larger contracts go further: we have worked in Kent, London, Leicestershire, Northampton, Nottingham, Leeds, Hampshire and Wales. Distance is a programme question rather than a hard limit, so ask.
Why does every area page name a real job?
Because a location page with no work behind it tells you nothing. Every town listed here has at least one project named on it, with the specification, and in most cases the main contractor. If a town is not listed it usually means we have not worked there yet, not that we will not travel.
My village is not on the list, do you still cover it?
Almost certainly. Each town page carries the surrounding villages it serves, and we work regularly in Holbeach, Long Sutton, Market Deeping, Deeping St James, Crowland, Sutton Bridge, Whittlesey, Quadring, Pinchbeck, Weston, Guyhirn, Walpole, Thorney and Stilton.
Do you charge for a site visit?
No. Site visits and written estimates are free anywhere in the core area. For contract work, send the drawings, the joist and truss design and the specification and we will price the carpentry package.
