Roughly half of what AJB does is priced from drawings for main contractors and developers. The other half starts with somebody standing in their own house pointing at a wall. Both are welcome, they just start differently.
Main contractors and developers
Send us drawings. Email the drawings, the specification and your programme dates and you will get a priced carpentry package back. Tell us the scope you want covered: labour only, supply and fit, or the full package from joists and roof structure through first fix, second fix, doors, staircases and kitchens.
If your process needs a pre-qualification pack, CHAS certification, SMSTS evidence, RAMS or insurance certificates, say so in the same email and they will come back with the price. There is more detail on the accreditations page.
Homeowners
Book a site visit. Somebody comes out, looks at the job properly, talks through what is actually possible and then sends a written estimate. There is no charge for either, and there is no obligation at the end of it.
If the work needs more than carpentry, AJB has its own brickwork, plumbing, electrics, plastering and decorating, so a full renovation can run as one job with one point of contact rather than five trades you have to co-ordinate yourself. Larger jobs get in-house 3D renders before work starts.

Do you charge for a quote or a site visit?
No. Site visits and written estimates are free. For contract work, send the drawings and specification and AJB will price the carpentry package from them without a visit if that is quicker for you.
How quickly will you reply?
Same working day where we can. The team is on site during the day, so if you call and it goes to voicemail, leave a message or send a WhatsApp to 07716 954091 and you will get a call back. Detailed tender enquiries usually take a little longer because they are priced properly rather than guessed at.
What should I send with a contractor enquiry?
Drawings, the specification, the programme dates and the scope you want covered. Tell us whether you want labour only, supply and fit, or the full carpentry package including joists, roof structure, first fix, second fix, doors, staircases and kitchens.
Which areas do you cover?

Do you have a showroom I can visit?
AJB Group works out of 73 Little London, Long Sutton, Spalding PE12 9LF. It is a working office rather than a showroom, so the usual arrangement is that we come to you. For kitchens we bring samples and colour options to the site visit.

Look out for the van.
AJB vans are black with yellow livery, carrying the company name, both numbers and our CHAS accreditation. Our carpenters wear AJB workwear. If someone turns up claiming to be from AJB Group and none of that matches, call us on 07716 954091 before letting them in.
